A genealogy showing the known descendants of John Conrad Weiser Sr. and Anna Uebele and Anna Mueller, particularly John Conrad Weiser, Jr. and Anna Eva Feck/Feg. The volumes also include brief biographies of the Conrads, their children and some other descendants, as well as genealogies of other Weiser/Wiser/Wisor lines so far not connected to the Conrads. This set is an expansion of a genealogy in one volume published in 1961.

A slightly fictionalized version of a story handed down from generation to generation about the life and capture of Regina Leininger by Native Americans in the Tulpehocken area of Pennsylvania. Fred wove Conrad Weiser into the story because of his dealings with the Iroquoian Nations. Conrad’s son-in-law Henry Melchoir Muhlenberg also plays a role in the story.

The book includes an introductory family tree from 1475 and narrative about the generations of Weissers in Kleinaspach and Grossaspach, Wurttemberg, as well as a topographical map of that area and copies and explanations of a series of records showing members of the generations of Weissers in Wurttemberg giving a sense of their lives.

Contains a description of the Iroquoian Confederation, Conrad Weiser’s relationship with the Iroquois, and his work as an interpreter and negotiator between the native peoples and colonial governments. Transcriptions of letters from Peter Oswald Weiser, born in Sunbury PA; Charles Weiser to Catharine Weiser; and Jacob L. Klein to Catharine and Sarah Weiser, the latter two soldiers from central Ohio sent to relatives and made available to the Association for publication. The letters reflect their service in the Union army. Peter served from Tennessee to Mississippi to the march through Georgia, and the Carolinas. Charles and Jacob saw each other at Vicksburg, and the latter went on to New Orleans and participated in the siege of Mobile AL.

This little book is a must for anyone interested in Pennsylvania Dutch culture and art.

Peter Muhlenberg, An Address by The Rev. Dr. William E. John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg, the son of Henry Melchoir and Anna Maria Weiser Muhlenberg and grandson of Conrad and Anna Eva Weiser, was a minister and Revolutionary War officer. His life story is told in Rev. Eisenberg’s address.
